this is not the orignal place of this monument. it was moved during reconstruction of "parikarma" (perimeter) orignally there was a gurudwara with its own boundry wall right in parikarma on edge of sarovar. and parikarma use to surround that and there was a big opening to outward bungas(residence) particularly to the house of bhai mani singh. when the karseva was done orignally by Baba Jeevan Singh ji the Parikarma was reformed and This place was marked in the memory of the gurwara sahib that was once there. No onw ever bothered to find fact during the Galiara formation Bhai Mani singh jis Bunga was right in Galiara and was detroyed. there is a tiny mandir there.( its not historic, some pujari just put there to get his bread going in old bazar muniaran, also destroyed in galiara scheme). May some day Shromani Gurdwara Prabhandak committe wake up from its sleep!!!!.

NEVER UNDERSTOOD "SGPC" WHY EDUCATION CENTER NEXT TO A MOST NOISY AND CROWDED PLACE IN WHOLE CITY. WHAT IS THIER PLANNING ONLY THEY KNOW.

BABA DEEP SINGH JI'S SAMADH AS PER HISTORY HE WAS CREMATED HERE. ORIGNALLY IS OLD "RAM RAUNI FORT" AND OTHER SINGH WHO WERE MARTYRED DURING WARS WITH MOGUL WERE ALSO CREMATED HERE. THERE IS STILL CREMATION GROUNDS ACROSS STREET THERE ARE ALOT OF MYTHICAL STORIES TOLD BUT NOT TRUE AS HISTORIC FACT. THERE IS A HUGE PROPERTY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS GURDWARA IN SURRONDINGS AND ILLEGALY SOLD BY MANAGMENT INCLUDING ALL OF BABA DEEP SINGH COLONY WHICH WAS "AMRITSAR SUGAR MILL" ONLY 30 YEARS BACK INSIDE OLD WALLED CITY.

ACTUAL NAME "CHATIWIND GATE" THIS AREA WAS ORIGNALLY FAMOUS FOR POT MAKERS(I.E LOCALLY CALLED "CHATTI" SO CHATTIWIND) THE T ROAD GOES TO TARANTARAN CITY AS WELL MERGE TO NH1 G.T. ROAD

PLACE LOOKS BETTER NOW ITS 5 MINUTE WALK TO HARIMINDIR SAHIB (GOLDEN TEMPLE) ORIGINALLY BUILT ON SAMADHS OF RAM RAUNI KILLA(FORT) OF RAMGHARIA MISLS AND IS ILLEGALY SOLD PROPERTY OF GURUDWARA SISGANJ SAHIB (BABA DEEP SINGH) THIS PLACE WAS USED BY POT MAKERS FOR SOME TIME THE ADJACENT STREET(GALI) IS STILL CALLED "SMADHAN WALI GALII"
