Sacred Heart.....hmmmm Its none less than heaven on Earth. Apart from the beautiful and well designed architecheral plan, the dynamic leadership of the current principal has added more weightage to the already fabulous management.Although I passed out in 2000 , I still visit my alma mater once a while to recall those Golden days of my life. I feel very blessed to be a have been a part of the school.... Regards, Deepika sci_deep2003@yahoo.co.in

  • Shri Harmandir Sahib Ji / Golden Temple, avtarcse wrote 17 years ago:
The Golden temple is considered holy by Sikhs because the 11th Guru of Sikhism, the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, is present inside it. The Sri Guru Granth Sahib is the holiest thing in the Sikh religion , the tenth Guru of Sikhism, Guru Gobind Singh on 7th October 1708 made it the eleventh Sikh Guru and the leader of Sikhism. Anywhere in the world where the Guru Granth Sahib is present is equally holy and precious to Sikhs. Amritsar is holy to Sikhs, but anywhere the Guru Granth Sahib is present is equally holy. The Sri Guru Granth Sahib is present in every Sikh temple (Gurdwara) in the world. All Sikh temples are equally holy. Moreover, Sikhism does not have priests, they were abolished by Guru Gobind Singh (the 10th Guru of Sikhism) as he felt they had become full of ego and corrupt. The only position he left was a Granthi to look after the Guru Granth Sahib. Any Sikh is free to become Granthi or read from the Guru Granth Sahib.
